On air beside your work
The radio window floats over any screen: the item being read, On or Off, play, pause and skip, how much it says, its language and speed, and everything said today. The history page behind it lists the day's bulletins in order of time.
On the phone too
On a phone the radio fills the screen. One tap starts the sound, and the captions keep the news readable in a noisy shop or with the sound off.
What the radio tells you
The news is made from your own records as they change. Each item is said once, the most urgent first.
Sales as they happen
The day's sales so far against the same day last week, each new sale, and a large sale as breaking news.
Today's best seller
The product selling most today, with how many and for how much.
Stock running out
A product that has just run out, and products below their minimum before they do.
Money in and money owed
Payments received, then in the afternoon what customers owe and the bills you have due.
Tills opened and closed
Each till as it opens and closes, and whether the cash agreed when it closed.
The day and the week
The day's returns, expenses and new customers, and the week so far.
Your monthly sales target
How far this month's sales are towards the target you set, and what a day reaches it in the days left.
VAT this month
VAT collected on sales against VAT paid on purchases, and what is payable, with a reminder as the month ends.
A presenter from your country
The radio's presenter takes a common first name from your store's country, and the name follows the language you choose for the radio.

Your country's language first
The presenter speaks your country's official language from the first bulletin: Arabic in the Gulf, Hungarian in Hungary, German in Germany, English in India. Pick English, Malayalam, French, Urdu, Bangla or about 40 more in the radio window and the presenter changes with it: Arun in Malayalam, Bilal in Urdu, Arif in Bangla, Louis in French. Each person's pick is kept, and StartAI's Talk speaks it too.
A real presenter's voice
Presented like a business analyst
With Google's Gemini, the same live voice as StartAI's Talk presents each round of news as one short spoken segment. It uses your store's own Google connection, or StartERP's free daily allowance.
Always with captions
Every word is shown as it is said. Without a live voice, your browser's own voice reads the news, and where nothing can speak the captions carry it.
Amounts said the way people say them
Amounts are spoken as whole numbers with the currency's full name, so you hear 280 pounds, never GBP 280.97. The screen keeps the exact figures.
You decide what it says, and to whom
Live, hourly or breaking news only
A live station that says each item as it happens, an hourly round-up, or only the news that cannot wait. Set the speed too.
Safe for shared screens
By default only admins and finance roles hear amounts and names; cashiers hear the news without them. You can also give amounts to everyone, or to no one.
Quiet hours
Set quiet hours and the radio stays silent through them. Switch it off from its window at any time.
One voice per computer
With StartERP open in several tabs, only one of them speaks, so the news is never heard twice.

Questions about StartAI Radio
Do I need special hardware?
No. The radio plays through the computer, tablet or phone StartERP already runs on, in the browser or the StartERP apps. Any speaker or headphones will do.
Will customers hear my sales figures?
Only if you allow it. Out of the box, cashiers and shared screens hear no amounts and no names, and quiet hours keep the radio silent when you choose.
Can the presenter say something that is not in my records?
No. The presenter is given only the news items made from your records and has no other tools, so it can only say what those items say.
How is it added to my store?
StartAI Radio is an add-on. Tick it when you sign up, or add it later from Billing; it works for every business category and every country StartERP serves.
