Add each ward's beds with their kind and price per day, and the bed board shows them all at once: free, occupied with the patient, the IP number from their bill, the doctor and the days in, being cleaned, or out of service. Admit a patient to a free bed in one step, discharge them and the bed goes to cleaning until housekeeping marks it ready. The occupancy, the free beds and the patients due out today are counted for you, and one IP number can never lie in two beds. Only the name, IP number and doctor are kept on a bed, never a diagnosis.
