What it does for your business
Book each operation in its theatre with the time, how long it takes, the surgeon, the anaesthetist, the patient and the IP number from the bill. A theatre already taken or a surgeon already in another theatre at that time is refused, so no two cases clash. Before the patient goes in, the sign-in checks are ticked: consent signed, fasting confirmed, site marked and blood arranged; only then does the case start. Each case keeps the real start and end, and the day shows the cases waiting, in theatre and done, the theatre use and the late starts. No diagnosis or operative note is kept here.
