What it does for your business
Start a discharge summary when a patient goes home, straight from the bed board. The doctor writes the ICD-10 diagnoses, the course in hospital, the medicines to take home, the follow-up and when to come back at once, then signs it; a signed summary is kept as written and later findings go in an addendum, each signed. A referral says where the patient went, a death the cause. The records room works its own list: each file received, the consent forms and orders checked, then coded, with the files waiting, the ones incomplete, those lent to a doctor or an insurer and back, and the files that took more than a day to arrive. Each record is kept ten years. The summaries are open only to clinical staff, never deleted and never read by StartAI.
