What it does for your business
Set up your fuel tanks and the nozzles on each pump. At the end of every shift write each nozzle's closing meter reading and the cash, card and fleet credit taken: the litres, the amount and the cash short or over are worked out for you. Dip the tanks each morning and see the loss against the book stock, the low tanks and the days of fuel left on the fuel dashboard.

A meter sheet per shift with the cash short or over
Daily dips against the book stock, with water

Step-by-step guides
- Meter sheetsA petrol station's meter sheet for a shift: each nozzle's opening and closing meter reading, the litres pumped back in a calibration test and the price per litre give the litres and the amount sold by the meters. Against it go the card and fleet credit taken and the cash counted, and the sheet shows the cash short or over. Part of the Forecourt add-on for petrol stations.
- Tank dipsThe fuel measured in a tank with the dip stick or the gauge, set against the book stock: the fuel product's stock shared over its active tanks by their capacity, taken when the dip is first saved. The difference is the loss to evaporation, leaks or meter drift (or a gain), and the water at the bottom is kept too. Part of the Forecourt add-on.
- Fuel tanksThe underground tanks of a petrol station: the fuel product each holds (a product sold by the litre), its capacity and the reorder level below which the dashboard flags it. Part of the Forecourt add-on.
- Fuel dashboardA petrol station's figures for a period: the litres of fuel sold, the revenue, the profit and the margin per litre of each fuel, the shop's share, the fuel in stock and the days it lasts at the period's pace; with the Forecourt add-on also the tank gauges, the dip losses, the low tanks, the litres on the meters against the litres invoiced, the cash short or over and the litres per nozzle.
