Tank dips
The fuel measured in a tank with the dip stick or the gauge, set against the book stock: the fuel product's stock shared over its active tanks by their capacity, taken when the dip is first saved. The difference is the loss to evaporation, leaks or meter drift (or a gain), and the water at the bottom is kept too. Part of the Forecourt add-on.
Steps
- Each morning before the pumps open, press "New dip", pick the tank and write the litres measured, the time and the water in mm.
- The book stock and the loss or gain are shown before you save.
Tips
- Editing a dip keeps the book stock it was taken against, so later sales do not change an old dip's loss.
- A dip above the tank's capacity is refused. A tank below its reorder level is flagged on the fuel dashboard.
