Carcasses
Every carcass a butcher shop buys, with its tag, animal, vendor, weight and cost, and the cost per kg worked out from them. A carcass is then broken down into cuts, sold whole, or still in stock. Part of the Carcass costing add-on for butcher shops.
Steps
- Open Butchery → Carcasses and press "New carcass". Pick the animal, write the tag, the kilos and what it cost, and link the vendor, the purchase bill and the carcass product if you have them.
- Open a carcass in stock and press "Break down" to cut it, or "Sold whole" when it leaves in one piece (write what it was sold for). "Back in stock" undoes a whole sale entered by mistake.
Tips
- The kilos, the cost and the product are fixed once a carcass is broken down; cancel the breakdown first to change them.
- Saving a carcass does not move stock: its kilos come in with the purchase bill, as for any product.
