Gold stock by karat
How much gold, silver and platinum you hold and sold, in grams by karat, and in fine (pure) grams so different karats add up. The stock is valued at the day's rate you set on the Jewellery POS and set beside its cost. Part of the Gold stock by karat add-on for jewellery shops.
Steps
- Give each piece its metal, karat and weights in the product form. Set today's rate on the Jewellery POS each morning.
- Open Inventory → Gold stock by karat. Each row is one karat: pieces, net weight, fine weight, value at today's rate, cost, and the grams sold between the two dates at the top.
Tips
- A piece weighs its net weight (gross less stones); goods sold by the gram (unit g) count their quantity as grams. Fine grams = weight × fineness (22K = 0.916).
- A karat with no rate of its own is valued from another rate of the same metal, as the POS prices it. Sold grams are sales less returns.
