Reorder suggestions
One list of what to order now and how much: for every product that sold lately, has a Min stock level or a reorder rule, or is on an open purchase order, the units sold a day, the days of stock left, what is already on order and the quantity to order, rounded up to whole packs, with its value at the purchase price. Tick the lines of one vendor and create the purchase order in one step. Part of the Reorder suggestions add-on.
Steps
- Open Inventory → Reorder suggestions. Out of stock comes first, then Order now, each with the fewest days left at the top. Pick the sales period the speed is worked out from (the last 30 days at first).
- Press Set rule on a product to give its reorder point, the level to order up to, its lead time, the days of cover, the pack size and the vendor. Leave a box empty to use the board's own figure.
- Tick the lines of one vendor and press Create purchase order: a new purchase order opens with those products and quantities at the purchase price. Check it, save it and send it to the vendor.
Tips
- Without a rule the reorder point is the product's Min stock level, or else the units sold over the lead time (7 days); the board orders up to that point plus 14 days of cover.
- Purchase orders that are sent, confirmed or partly received count as on order, so a product is not suggested twice. A draft purchase order does not count until it is sent.
- Sales returns in the period are taken off the units sold. The vendor is the rule's vendor, else the vendor of the latest purchase of the product.
