Expiry board
Every batch still on your shelves and how close it is to its expiry date: expired, expiring soon, or fine, with the quantity left and what it cost. What is left of each batch is worked out from the product's stock now: the oldest batches are taken as sold first, so the stock on hand belongs to the latest batches received. Part of the Batch & expiry dates add-on for groceries, supermarkets and butcher shops.
Steps
- Open Inventory → Expiry board. The tiles count the batches expired, expiring soon and fine, and the stock that has no batch recorded.
- Choose how many days count as "soon" (7 to 90, 30 by default) and use the tabs to list one group. Open a batch to see where it came from.
Tips
- The dashboard shows the same expired and expiring-soon count, linked to this board.
- Sell or return expired goods, then the product's stock goes down and the batch shows as sold out.
