Getting started with StartERP
StartERP is a bilingual cloud ERP for Saudi businesses: ZATCA-compliant sales, purchases, inventory, finance, HR, workshop and POS in one system.
Steps
- Complete your company details in Settings → General and National address: names in English and Arabic, VAT number, CR number and address. They print on every tax invoice.
- Connect ZATCA Phase 2 in Settings → ZATCA credentials with the OTP from the Fatoora portal. Until then invoices carry the Phase 1 QR code only.
- Add your products (Inventory → Products, or import a CSV in the onboarding wizard) and your customers.
- Create your first sale: Sales → New, pick a customer (or leave it empty for an unknown customer), add items, record the payment and press Create (Ctrl+S).
- For counter sales open the POS screen that matches your business type — it is faster for walk-in customers and thermal receipts.
- Each module's first screen (Leads, Payroll, Recipes and the rest) has a small Get started button beside its title, closed until you press it. It opens three first steps over the page, each with an Open button to the screen where it happens. A step ticks itself once the store has a record of its kind; tick the others with Mark as done. How it works shows the module's data flow.
- Press F1 or ? on any page, or the ? button in the top bar, to see the instructions for that page.
Tips
- The demo company “Al Noor Trading Est.” has three branches: Riyadh – Olaya, Jeddah – Tahlia and Dammam – 2nd Industrial. Each branch has its own stock, numbering, settings and ZATCA connection.
- Switch branch from the store button in the top bar. Documents you see always belong to the current branch.
- You can rerun the setup at any time from the user menu → Onboarding wizard.
- A sale with a buyer VAT number becomes a standard tax invoice (B2B, cleared by ZATCA); without one it is a simplified invoice (B2C, reported within 24 hours).
In the app, press F1 or ? on this screen to open this guide next to your work.
