Store settings
Everything about the current store: company details, National Address, numbering, document titles and columns, modules, integrations, designs, opening balances and ZATCA credentials.
Steps
- Pick a section from the vertical tab list (General, National address, Contact … ZATCA credentials, Card machines, Security, Notifications, Stores & demo data). Security sets who must use 2-step verification; Notifications chooses which emails StartERP sends to the people of this company and in which language.
- Settings follow your store's modules: a tab, a document in Serial numbers or Invoice titles, and a switch or option in the Settings tab appear only when the store has the module it belongs to. Values saved earlier are kept and come back when the module is enabled again.
- In General, enter the store and branch names in English and Arabic, Branch short name, CR number and VAT number, plus currency, time zone, date format and ZATCA phase.
- Fill the National address exactly as registered with SPL (Saudi Post) — it is required on Phase 2 standard invoices.
- In Settings, choose VAT percent, decimals, rounding, switch modules on or off, and arrange the sales and purchase form columns.
- In Modules, see every module of the store (included and add-on, enabled or not); the settings icon on an enabled add-on module opens its settings in one place.
- Click Save settings. A tab with errors shows a red counter and the page jumps to the first invalid field.
- Use Undo in the confirmation message if you saved something by mistake.
Tips
- Add a branch: open the store menu at the top (or Settings → Stores) and press Add store. The business name, tax and CR numbers, contact, category and country are filled in from the store you are in; name the branch, give its address, pick its modules and press Add store. Only the business's Admin and Managers can do this. You and the business's Admins get access to it; it starts with a 14-day free trial and is billed on its own.
- Settings → Notifications: “Send email notifications” switches every notification email of this company off or on; below it each group (approvals, HR, billing and so on) has its own switch, and “Language of the emails” picks English, Arabic or both. Restaurants and cafes also get “Restaurant and kitchen”. Email confirmation and password reset emails always go out.
- With “Custom payment account” on in Settings, a cash or bank payment can go to any account you pick (search, filter by type, or open a new one) instead of Cash or Bank. Leave it on the default to keep using Cash or Bank.
- Changing the store name, VAT number, CR number or National address after connecting to ZATCA requires a reconnect with a new OTP — otherwise new invoices may be rejected. Changing the business category does not.
- Module switches drive the whole app: menus, forms and columns change after you click Save settings.
- Most tabs are saved together with Save settings, but Opening balances posts with its own Submit, and the WhatsApp Connect / Verify and ZATCA Connect actions take effect immediately.
- Posting opening balances again replaces the previous opening entry (OB-date); Undo is available right after posting.
- Each store has its own settings, numbering and ZATCA connection. Switching store discards unsaved changes.
- Reset demo data returns every invoice, product, customer and setting in all stores to the sample data and cannot be undone.
