Steps

  1. On the Printers tab click Add printer and enter a name, printer type (thermal, impact/kitchen, laser, dot-matrix or label) and default paper.
  2. Choose the connection: System print dialog / PDF, USB (WebUSB, ESC/POS), Serial / COM, Network (LAN 9100) with IP address : port, or Bluetooth.
  3. For receipt printers set Arabic printing, resolution, auto-cutter, cash drawer kick and small font; for label printers choose the printer language (ZPL, TSPL or EPL2).
  4. Click Save printer, then use Connect to test the connection and Test page to print a sample invoice.
  5. On Document routing pick, for each document type, the printer, paper, template and copies.
  6. On Custom formats design layouts for pre-printed invoice books: any paper size, the data placed where your paper has room for it, no labels.
  7. Check Paper sizes for what each size is best for, and Print log for recent jobs and failures on this device.

Tips

  • Arabic on thermal printers prints best "As image lines (recommended)"; Latin text only drops Arabic characters.
  • USB and Serial need Chrome or Edge on desktop or Android; if Connect fails, use System print dialog / PDF instead.
  • Deleting a printer sends its documents to the print dialog / PDF until you route them to another printer.
  • Templates apply to sheet paper only; receipt rolls use the receipt layout and labels the label layout.
  • Printer settings and the print log are saved per store on this device. Restore defaults resets printers and routing.
  • All Saudi tax invoices print with the ZATCA QR whatever printer or paper you choose.
