Steps

  1. Open a run from Payroll runs. The four steps at the top show where it is; the cards show the gross pay, deductions, net pay and your share.
  2. Check the lines: the Check column flags a missing IBAN or ID, a first month, or pay that moved 10% or more since last month. Press a line to see it in full.
  3. On a draft line add a one-off bonus or deduction, change the advance taken back, write a note for the payslip or leave the person out, then Save line.
  4. Press Approve. With Workflows & approvals and a policy for payroll, the run waits for it in My tasks; Withdraw takes it back.
  5. Press Post to the ledger: salaries, contributions and the end-of-service provision go in as salaries payable.
  6. Download the WPS, Mudad, ECR or bank file for your bank, then Pay salaries with the day paid: one salary payment per employee, and the payslips are ready.

Tips

  • Work out again brings in today's records (a late absence, a pay rise) and keeps your changes to the lines.
  • A file lists what it is missing, such as an employee's IBAN or your establishment number; fill it on the employee or in Payroll set-up.
  • A posted run cannot be changed: correct a mistake in next month's run with a one-off item.
