StartAI daily brief

Yesterday in a few lines and what needs your yes or no: sales with VAT against the same day last week, what customers owe, the products to reorder (one purchase order per vendor), the customers to remind about unpaid invoices, and the invoices with a large discount or a line sold below cost. It is sent every morning by email, as a notification and on WhatsApp. Part of the StartAI daily brief add-on.

Steps

  1. Open Automation → StartAI daily brief. It shows yesterday; pick another day to see its brief.
  2. Under Purchase orders to raise, press Create purchase order: a new purchase order opens with the vendor's products and quantities. Check it and save it. Press Dismiss to skip it for the day.
  3. Under Payment reminders, press Remind on WhatsApp: WhatsApp opens with a polite message listing the unpaid invoices. Under Invoices to check, open the invoice, then press Checked or Looks fine.
  4. Press Send settings to switch the morning brief on, set the time, the language, the email addresses and WhatsApp numbers, the discount that gets flagged and after how many days a customer is reminded.

Tips

  • With nobody chosen in Send settings the brief goes to the store's admins. Email needs Outgoing mail (SMTP) in Settings › Email.
  • Products to reorder come from the Reorder suggestions board when the store has that add-on. A discount of 20% or more of the lines is flagged unless you set another limit; customers are reminded once their oldest unpaid invoice is 15 days old.
  • Ask StartAI "what needs my attention today?" and it reads the same brief.
