Order types & busy hours

Your orders and sales by order type (dine-in, takeaway, delivery and car), with the average bill of each, and hour by hour through the day, so you see your rush hours and can staff and cook for them. Part of the Order types & busy hours add-on for restaurants and cafes.

Steps

  1. Ring up orders on the restaurant POS as usual: the order type you pick (dine-in, takeaway, delivery, car or a delivery app) is saved with each sale.
  2. Open Sales → Order types & busy hours and pick the days. The table shows each order type; the chart shows the orders of each hour, and the busiest hour is at the top.

Tips

  • Orders from a delivery app count as delivery, even when the POS calls them a parcel. A sale with no order type (one made on the Sales form, say) shows as Not set.
  • Sales are the invoice totals with VAT, before returns; the hour is the time each sale was billed, in the store's time zone.
