Site surveys & LED sizing
Record each visit to a client's site before you quote: the nearest viewing distance, the space the LED wall may take, indoor or outdoor, the mounting and the power there. The LED wall is worked out as you type: the pixel pitch to use (no more than half the nearest viewing distance in metres), the whole cabinets that fit, the size, m², resolution, brightness, power, weight, receiving cards and sending ports. Make quotation turns the survey into a quotation for the LED and installation products by the m². Part of the Site surveys & LED sizing add-on for digital signage companies.
Steps
- Open Sales → Site surveys & LED sizing and press New survey. Pick the client, type the site and the survey date, and choose indoor or outdoor and the mounting.
- Type the nearest viewing distance and the width and height the wall may take. The LED wall card shows the pitch, cabinets, size, resolution, power and weight; change the cabinet size or the pitch when the client asks for others, and pick the LED and installation products.
- Save, open the survey and press Make quotation: a quotation for the LED wall and its installation opens, and the survey shows as quoted. Mark it Won or Lost when the client answers.
Tips
- A pitch finer than the distance asks for costs more without looking better; one coarser shows the pixels. The wall uses only whole cabinets, so it can be a little smaller than the space.
- The LED line is by the m² when the product's unit is m², else by the cabinet. Ask StartAI to size a wall for a distance and space, or which surveys are still open.
