Prescriptions
Every prescription the pharmacy dispenses: the patient, the doctor, the medicines with their dose and quantity, a photo of the paper and the refills left. A controlled medicine is sold only on a prescription, never beyond the quantity written, and each sale on it is kept as one fill. Part of the Prescriptions & refills add-on for pharmacies.
Steps
- On the pharmacy POS, add the medicines to the cart and tap Prescription. Find the patient's prescription, or press New prescription and type the patient, the doctor and the refills; the cart's prescription medicines are listed on it.
- Charge the sale as usual. It is kept as one fill of the prescription, and the next refill date is set from the days one fill lasts.
- Open Sales → Prescriptions to see the refills due, add a photo of the paper, or press WhatsApp to remind the patient of the next refill.
Tips
- A medicine is controlled when Controlled medicine is ticked on its product. A sale of it without a prescription, beyond the quantity written, or on a prescription that is used up, expired or cancelled is refused.
- A refill reminder is added to the notifications a few days before each refill is due (3 unless you pick another on the prescription).
