Steps

  1. Scan the pack, or type the brand or the generic name in the search box: every medicine with that active ingredient is listed with its strength and form.
  2. Or pick a tab (Prescription medicines, Pain, cold & flu, Stomach & digestion, Vitamins & supplements, Mother & baby, Skin & personal care, Devices & first aid, Pharmacy services) and tap the item.
  3. A medicine kept by the strip asks for one strip or the whole box; the box adds as many strips as the box holds, at the strip price.
  4. Items marked Rx are sold on a prescription: check it before you tap Charge.

Tips

  • Set the generic name, strength, dosage form, strips in a box and Sold on a prescription on each medicine in Products; keep the unit Strip and the price per strip for medicines sold by the strip, and enter purchases in strips.
  • With the Batch & expiry add-on, record the batch and expiry date of each delivery and check the expiry board for stock to sell or return first.
  • Tick Zero-rated (0% VAT) on each medicine or medical device on the zero-rated list (in Saudi Arabia, the MOH/SFDA list). It then sells at 0% VAT next to standard items on the same bill: the till price has no VAT in it, the invoice prints a Zero-rated 0% row, ZATCA gets the line as category Z (VATEX-SA-35), and the VAT return puts it in the zero-rated box.
