Steps

  1. Pick the buyer, then tap a car under New cars or Used cars. Type the agreed price and enter the VIN (chassis number), colour, odometer for a used car, how the buyer pays, the down payment, the number of instalments, any trade-in and its agreed value, and the delivery date.
  2. Add registration and plates, ownership transfer, insurance, warranty, a service package, tint or accessories from their tabs, then take the booking deposit or the full amount as the payment.
  3. Move the deal on the Deals board as it goes through finance and registration, is ready and is delivered. With the Vehicle deals & delivery add-on, Sales → Vehicle deals lists every open deal by delivery day, how buyers pay, the trade-ins and the balance still to collect.

Tips

  • A trade-in comes into stock as a purchase from the customer (Purchases → New purchase, the customer as the vendor) at the agreed value; the deal line keeps the trade-in and its value for the dashboard.
  • With the serial numbers add-on, receive each car by its VIN on the purchase; the VIN typed on the deal marks it sold with the invoice and buyer.
  • Enquiries and test drives are leads in CRM (a test drive is a meeting on the lead); a price offer is a quotation that becomes the sale when the buyer agrees.
