Steps

  1. Pick a tab (Long-term leases, Truck & van hire, Trailers & equipment, With driver) and tap the unit.
  2. Type the customer or lessee company, the unit or plate number, the start and end dates and the odometer at handover, set the months, weeks or days with + and −, then tap Add.
  3. Add fleet services (management, GPS tracking, maintenance, replacement vehicle, insurance) by the vehicle, choose the customer, then Pay, or put it on account.
  4. Open "Contracts" to move each one: Booked, On hire, Returned, Closed (or Cancelled). When a unit comes back, bill extra kilometres, fuel, late return, cleaning or damage from "Charges after return".

Tips

  • The Fleet dashboard shows the units on hire, utilisation, revenue by kind of contract, the leases ending in 30 days and the late returns. Bill each month of a lease with the Recurring contracts add-on, and see every unit's days on the Fleet calendar add-on.
  • Keep each unit's registration and insurance and each customer's lease contract in Documents with expiry dates.
