Cargo service POS

For door-to-door cargo shops: air and sea cargo by the kilo to each country, door-to-door boxes by size, express documents and parcels, pick-up and delivery, boxes and packing sold from stock, and a Shipments board that sends the receiver a WhatsApp update at each step.

Steps

  1. Weigh the box and pick a tab (Air cargo, Sea cargo, Door-to-door boxes, Express & documents, Pick-up & delivery), then tap the lane. Set the kilos as the quantity; for a lane sold as quoted, type the rate.
  2. Type the sender, the receiver and their phone, the destination, the airway bill or waybill number, the weight and any cash to collect on delivery (COD), then tap Add.
  3. Scan or tap the boxes, tape and bubble wrap the sender buys, add packing labour, insurance or the COD charge from Charges & COD, then Pay.
  4. Open "Shipments" to move each shipment: Booked, Shipped, At destination, Delivered (or Cancelled), and press "Send update" to send the receiver the step on WhatsApp.

Tips

  • Air, sea and door-to-door cargo and express parcels abroad start at 0% VAT in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain; boxes, packing and local delivery keep the standard rate on the same bill.
  • Keep the overseas agents who deliver your boxes as vendors: their bills are purchases and what you pay them (and the COD they collect for you) is settled on their statement.
  • The Cargo dashboard shows bookings by tab, the destinations that sell, cargo against boxes, busy hours and returning senders; the Shipments dashboard add-on adds kilos, days to deliver and the boxes stuck for a week.
