Floor plan & table moves

Lay out the tables of each section on the restaurant POS where they really stand, square, round or long, and move or merge the open order of a table. Part of the Floor plan & table moves add-on for restaurants.

Steps

  1. On the restaurant POS, open Tables and press Edit floor (owners, managers and users who can edit stock or settings).
  2. Tap a table, then the place it stands; a table already there swaps places. Pick its shape: square, round or long. Press Save floor plan; every till of the store shows the new floor.
  3. To move guests, open their table and press Move, then pick a free table: the whole order goes with them.
  4. To join two groups, open one table and press Merge, then pick the other open table: the dishes and guests join it, on one bill.

Tips

  • The tables and their seats come from Store settings → POS terminal → Tables; the floor plan only places them. Auto arrange puts a section back in order.
  • With the Kitchen display add-on, today's kitchen tickets of the table follow its order to the new table. On phones the tables show in a list, not on the floor.
