Butcher Shop POS

For butcher and meat shops: whole, half and quarter carcasses and cuts sold by the kilo, the scale's weighed-item labels scanned with their weight, and cutting, mincing, packing and delivery services.

Steps

  1. Pick a tab (Whole, half & quarter, Lamb cuts, Goat, Beef & veal, Camel, Chicken, Mince & ready to cook, Offal, Cutting & services) and tap the item.
  2. Items sold by the kilo open the weight screen: type the weight from the scale and tap Add. The bill shows the weight, the price per kilo and the total.
  3. Or scan the label printed by the scale: a barcode that starts with 2 holds the item code (the product's code) and the weight, and the line is added at that weight.
  4. Add cutting, mincing, packing or delivery from Cutting & services, then tap Charge.

Tips

  • Give each product sold by weight the unit kg and a 4 or 5 digit code, and set the same code as the PLU on the scale, so its labels are read at the counter.
  • Record carcass deliveries in Purchases by the kilo, and write waste off from the product's stock with a reason such as Damaged.
